GLOBAL FUSION BENEFITS
Client Handoff
- MPLS (Martini) allows dissimilar Layer 2 protocol packets to be switched along the same network between a circuit’s end points. Our service allows the client a tremendous amount of freedom to choose the Layer 2 protocol best suited for his network, regardless of the carrier’s network.
- Global Fusion continues this process to the customer’s premise by universally translating Layer 2 protocols, thus allowing a client to choose the best handoff and technology for each site.
Network Access
- Global Fusion’s network is access loop agnostic, allowing the client to pick their handoff’s interface and protocol of choice, such as Frame Relay, T1 or 802.1q Ethernet.
- Full path encryption in four FIPS 410-2-2 AES flavors: Layer Four encryption, Layer Three encryption (IPSec and GRE) and Layer Two Encryption.
- Most unique are our satellite based access loops. Unlike traditional VSAT applications operating as an oversubscription-based IP Network with small low power residential units, Global Fusion operates at Layer 2 with larger more powerful carrier grade equipment, forming a more “wire like” connection from the client’s location. Similar to ATM, traffic is switched by circuit and segment utilization is closely monitored.
“In Cloud” Services
- To achieve the same beneficial effects routing switches brought to the LAN, Global Fusion offers “in-cloud” dedicated virtual routers on ultra performance ASIC based iQ8000s from Quarry Technologies.
- Circuits terminate in the cloud agents at dedicated VR’s. This lowers bandwidth requirements and reduces the number of routers deployed in a network.
- Dedicated firewalls, IDS, IPSec and GRE VPN tunnel concentration services can also be deployed in cloud via the iQ8000. Simplifies security management.
- Clients manage their own IP schema and route tables along with their own security policies. Via Customer Self-management console, clients can view statistics from both their VR terminations and point to point circuits through a Web-based self-management portal.
Internet service can be offered through circuits connecting to:
- On-net Tier One ISPs/partners.
- Any other ISP of the clients' choice.
In cloud intranet server farms reduce network design issues and frees capital dollars:
- The hosting solution is highly reliable with servers running off a RAID-5 SAN with nightly tape backups.
- Basic OS installations and patch update, tied with server hardware management - IT departments are free to focus on end-user applications and technology roll outs. Never again will an IT staffer be up at 3:00 AM rebuilding a server with lost data nor will a single network failure stop the whole enterprise.
